- 1 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Paprika
- 3 tablespoons Salt (Sea Salt or Mortons Lite Salt as long as they are fine grind)
- 2 1/2 tablespoons ground black pepper
- 1 1/2 tablespoons chili Powder
- 1 1/2 tablespoons garlic Powder
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Onion Powder
- 1 tablespoon Mustard Powder
- 1 teaspoon Cayenne
- 1 tablespoon Chipotle Chili Powder (Optional)
- 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika (Optional)
- 1 tsp MSG (Optional)
As the old commercial says, “I put this shit on everything”. Really this is a basic rib rub, I love smoke. Correction, I REALLY love smoke. That said I like the added benefit of Chipotle chilies and smoked paprika to my jam. Other item is I am not afraid of MSG. It is harmless. Embrace the essence of pure flavor, just don’t overdo it.
Use this on really anything you want, but i use this on BBQ pork ribs or smoked pork Ribs. works exceptionally well with Apple wood smoke. if you don’t smoke and want to just BBQ it id say bring a bit of apple cider vinegar to the party to add that sweet tang.
