As we enter this season of Thanksgiving I am reminded to be thankful of that which I have… beer. Oh come on, who didn’t see that coming?!
In all seriousness the fact that we live in a country and state (for some) where it is legal to brew in the comfort of our own homes is a good thing to have. To have endless resources online to call upon to brew crazy and not so crazy brews is magnificent (“access to the sum total of mankind in a small device in your pocket which we use for looking at cat pictures”). I was thinking to myself the other day that we are drinking the Cadillac of beer right now. Artificially synthesized yeasts which have been cultivated down to the primo strains we have today… I am telling you folks it is much better than wild yeast… trust me I have experimented and whooooooiieeeeee not good. It is a good time to live for beer! So, do not forget to raise a pint to our forefathers for cultivating this rich beer society we can appreciate to this day! Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving!
P.S. I am on batch 2 of the Pumpkin Pie Cream Ale and I hate my body more and more each time I drink it… this may be the reason I become an alcoholic… Cheers!
