New Year, Late Beer part 2

Continuing on my epic new year adventure…

I followed this first brew up with a beer that i just didnt find time to brew over the holidays. I had ordered a seasonal recipe kit that was a partial kit from Austin Homebrew Supply (AHS). This was a Holdiday Spiced Ale. This contained a collection of Crystal 40L, White wheat, Chocolate Malt and Extra Pale Extract. Add to that 1oz cluster for bittering, a spice pack containing cinnamon, nutmeg and mace, and 1oz saaz for aroma. I instantly regretted not brewing this earlier because the smell was amazing. Spicy, Malty, Wintery… The only way I could have done better was if i had lagered a winter warmer. This was all finished off with a WLP001 California Ale yeast (go figure).
