So i decided to brew a beer for my mom. She is of course a Pale ale sort of fan and a Heffeweizen fan… which frankly surprises me as she is the German in my family.
I pulled out all the stops. I brewed for her this evening a Honey Hibiscus Orange Wit. The combination therein renders a lovely spiced Wheat bear with a girly take on it. The color is even reddish/pink due to the hibiscus in the brew. Also picked up some special color caps for the bottles just for shits and giggles.
Of course I had to do some fancy footwork for this one what with the recipe kit I picked, and to top it off i had a bit of a cooling issue and had to resort to removing a shelf from my fridge; accommodating the primary for a short time.
At the end of the evening I had some good beer, some good brewing and even a nice little snack via the expended grains. All in all a good game. Happy Brewing Everyone!
