Pale ales are not to be feared

After college and the mixture of horrible domestic pale ales or american lagers i have lost my love of these light beauties, but with this AHS Just Plain Beer Chinook Pale Ale I think I am happy again.

A nice plain mixture with massive punches of Chinook in it, makes for a delightful afternoon beer.  The head retention is fantastic and the carbonation is solid even with only 1-2 weeks under its belt. I am interested to see the fully matured product.

UPDATE FROM FUTURE 11/2019: Nice thing about these kinds of recipes similar to SMASH (Single Malt and Single Hop) is that you get to identify the one item you are tasting. Give them a go, you don’t always need a fancy beer with 5 grains and 3 hops. I learned a lot about flavors by breaking down the baser elements as I experimented and when I got brave enough to do my own recipes it helped imagine the grain bill. CHEERS! Also irony… i was drinking it in a bud light pint glass… oy vey.
