The bottle conditioning has gone spectacularly well, the flavor has mellowed and now has a very festive flavor. It is still a little syrupy but that is ok for the consistency that I was looking for. In the future I will be adding additional spice and changing from vanilla extract to vanilla beans into the secondary or the bottle. I will also be hoping to carb this up a bit more than I did. Either way, its drinkable so cheers!

I found a cool flip top bottle (1 liter) at Fresh and Easy to hold the pumpkin cider (non-alc) which is a nice martinelli’s sparkling cider type drink with a strong flavor of pumpkin. These bottles will hold some of my future inventions and possibly light test batches.

Ok, new hobby has been tea drinking. This is gonna get expensive now that I know the differences in flavors. The best way to introduce something in my life of course is to add it to beer. I am going to attempt a green tea beer or possibly an oolong tea beer. the flavors are very light so i have to figure that bill out. Anyone out there with recommendations feel free to comment. I have some cookie cutter ideas already but nothing specific. It will almost have to be a very light spiced beer rather than a traditional hop based beer. Although on second thought a spiced beer is historically more traditional than hops so cheers!

More to come, more to come!

So it has been far too long since I have posted my escapades and it is about time that I did.
